Today I am going to talk about “Wonder”, the book that left me with lots of thoughts and emotions after I finished it.

I don’t remember exactly when but there was one time my favorite Youtuber said that “Wonder” was the most engaging book she had ever read. Not long after that, I decided to purchase the book online. And she was right, when I finished “Wonder”, I could not stop thinking about how it inspired and refreshed me.

“Wonder” tells an incredibly moving and inspiring story of a little boy named August, who was born with an extreme facial deformity. When August turned 10, he decided to attend school for the first time. During his school days, though August was harassed and mocked for his “alien” look, he was still lucky enough to have some nice friends as companions. Things got worse when August and his schoolmates went camping for three days. On the second night, August encountered a group of older kids who tried to bully him. Luckily, he was rescued by three boys who were usually mean to him at school. After this incident, August and his friends won a special award for their courage and kindness.

“Wonder” is truly a fast-moving and gripping book that I could hardly put it down. All I could feel after reading this story was the sense of love and goodness. I was also infused with inspiration and appreciation for good things and kind people. I think I would always remember this saying: “When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind”.

The provided bar graph compares the gold, silver and bronze medal winners in Olympic game by twelve different countries. Overall, the USA won the highest number of medals numbering more than 2200 medals.

According to the bar graph, the USA alone won far more medals than any other countries. The USA alone won about 900 gold medals, 700 silver medal and 500 bronze medals. No other country won so many medals in any type i.e. gold, silver and bronze that the USA did. Soviet Union was the second most medal winning country in Olympic game with about 400 gold, 300 silver and 200 bronze medals. United Kingdom was the third most medal winning country with over 700 total medals of which about 200 was gold. Other European countries like France, Germany and Italy each won more than 500 medals. Sweden, Australia, Hungary, and East Germany won around 100-200 gold medals, about 100 silver medals and few other bronze medals. Japan and China were two Asian countries to won the medal in Olympic game and they each won about 300-400 medals in total. China won more medals than Japan did but they were far behind than the USA, UK and other countries that won Olympic medals.

People have different views about whether public expenditure on national occasions suchas new year or festivals is too much nowadays. While I agree that governments and individuals are spending a significant amount of

Money on those celebrations, I would argue that thisactivity is necessary and therefore can be considered acceptable. It is true that a large amount of money is currently spent on some important celebrations of a country.

Firstly , governments is spending a proportion of their budget on holding events to celebrate these occasions. For example, much money is being paid for fireworks on New Year’s eve in many countries around the world.

Secondly, individuals also spend moneyto have celebrations and parties with their families, which is a common habit in many areas.  For instance

, my parents and I often have a special dinner on the final day of every year.

However, I believe there are great benefits of public spending on national celebrations, and  therefore it is completely justifiable. The firstadvantage is that this is a great way to preserve the culture of a nation. To illustrate, Lunar New Year is an important part of the Vietnamese culture, and holding celebrations for  this occasion is necessary to remind younger generations of this tradition. Additionally, since these occasions are usually the only times for family members to have time and enjoy together, it is understandable that people would want to spend  money on something that makes them happy.  Finally, as there are only a few national celebrations in a year, the amount of money spent on those days is unlikely to be too much.

In conclusion, I disagree with the idea that people and governments are spending too much money on national occasions.

I have recently purchased a studio apartment in Perth which is in the vicinity of your shop. I would like to purchase some electronic equipment for my apartment and writing to inquire about the availability of those products.

I require a toaster, a hand blender, a microwave oven, a big size mixie, a juicer, a dishwasher and a couple of fans along with a dozen LED lights. I would like you to appraise me regarding their availability (off the shelf) in your shop. In the case of an affirmative response, you may also provide a quote for all the above-mentioned items, at the earliest. On the contrary, if the items are not in stock, would it be convenient for you to place an order for the entire lot for me? You must also mention discounts if any, brand name and product specifications for those items.

I have plans to drop down in a week following this weekend, which happens to be on 17th September. I would also humbly request you to inform me of the duration till the time you will be able to retain the electronic equipment for me.

It is often argued that decreasing the demands of transport is the only key to suppress  city congestion. In my opinion, I partly agree with the ideas of reducing people's need to travel, but it is not the only solution for  transport.

On one hand, in order to decrease people movement from one place to another by vehicles is by developing a smart city and only could happen with the collaboration of property developers and government.This is an idea of recreating a small area inside a cityitself with a lot of properties.

However, unlike many developed countries which has a stable and reliable economy to invest in the project, other developing countries are still unable to afford that feature. Due to the high amount of cost and issues which are considered higher in priority than congestion.For example, Jakarta which is the capital city of Indonesia are popular for its daily traffic jam. Even though Indonesia is not considered a poor country, but the amount of money that could be poured are still low compared to education, health, and food supplies. Thus, without enough money and commitment from the government, many developers are unable to trust and invest in this project. That's why, reducing traffic in urban area are not the only and best solution.

On the other hand, planning and developing a public transportis still the most favourite method to bring down congestion in a city. One of the main reason of people in urban area choose to use private accommodation is poor facility provided. For instance, cityin many developing countries, such

as Bangkok, does not have a decent public transportation to use. The buses and trains are not maintained properly and only cover a few routes to explore. Consequently, people will leave public  transport and choose to buy their own vehicles. So, the government need to upgrade public

transport for people to use.

In conclusion, by reducing people needs of transport is not the only solution for traffic because it is a difficult task to be done. Using public transportation could be the best way to decrease the amount of vehicles used by citizens.
